Volunteering in the 9 Bridges Benefice
Our churches are at the heart of village life, and they thrive because of the time, skills, and care offered by people like you. Whether you can give a little or a lot, volunteering is a wonderful way to serve your community, meet new people, and grow in faith.
Why Volunteer?
- Make a difference – help keep our churches open, welcoming, and active.
- Build community – work alongside others and form lasting friendships.
- Share your gifts – everyone has something to offer, whether practical, creative, or spiritual.
- Deepen faith – serving others is a vital part of following Christ.

How to Volunteer
If you’d like to get involved:
- Speak to your local churchwarden or a member of the clergy team.
- Fill in a Volunteer Interest Form (coming soon).
- We’ll help match your gifts, time, and interests to the right opportunities.
Safeguarding is important to us, so some roles (especially those with children or vulnerable adults) may require training and a DBS check.
Thank You
Every role, no matter how small, makes a big difference. Together, we can keep our churches as places of worship, welcome, and witness for generations to come.
