Mission Day – Benefice 2030 – Releasing People for Mission

At the Mission Day on 8 November we discussed the new Benefice Council and Family & Friends Groups which are being established. Lots of people are already involved in serving in different ways – big and small – across the Benefice. We want to ensure that we have the right people, serving in the right places so that we are best using their time, gifts and passions and can best fulfil our mission. If you want to know more about what’s been agreed, there’s a video about this at the end of this page which tells you more.
We would like everyone to let us know how they feel they can help and serve in the new structure. For some that will be continuing to do what they are doing now. For others, it will mean taking up new opportunities. We would particularly like to give the opportunity to those who would like to express interest in the new Leadership Roles which we have set out to in the role descriptions you’ll find below.
If you were at the Mission Day, you had the chance to look at all the different roles we’ve identified in each of the Parishes and across the Benefice. If you were there, please let us know if there are any others you would be interested in adding when you complete the Expression of Interest of Interest Form. If you weren’t able to come to the Mission Day, have a look at the ‘Dotty Hats’ exercise below and see if there are any that you think you would be particularly interested in.
In both cases, please let me know what your thoughts are by returning the form by 18 December. Thanks so much for your willingness to serve.’
